Location: Copperfield Mine, Temagami Island, Ontario, Canada

Rare and unusual specimen from a long gone location. It is such a unique item that it is hard to describe. It is almost like it is made of threads of pyrite spun into a free form unit with some micro pyrite crystals woven throughout. It looks like it should be heavy but it is not. The mine had been opened in 1954 and closed in 1972. It is now flooded but when operating was said to have produced some of Canada's purest copper.
